Designing Special Spaces for Children with Special Needs.

I am a mom to three beautiful children, including a medically complex handicap daughter. After working for 10 years as a registered nurse in the ER, I made the decision to stay at home with my kids and to pursue two other passions of mine: blogging and interior design. One of my most recent projects was designing a bedroom for my special needs daughter. Every project has it’s unique challenges, but this one was different for me. It was an opportunity for me to draw on all of my experience and training as a nurse, designer, and mother to a special needs child at the same time. The finished design inspired me to share this experience with another family in need, so I have since partnered with several amazing sponsors to put together an interior design services giveaway for a special needs child living in Kentucky.
